This last weekend has sincerely been one of my favorites. After sharing with you guys on Friday some heavy news that our family has been experiencing (if you missed it, you can catch our story on Processing Loss here), it’s like God knew we need a weekend full of fun. When JD got home from work on Friday, we loaded up in the car and went to one of the cutest little pumpkin patches in our area. The boys had an absolute blast navigating the corn maze, riding the little tractors, and picking out their pumpkins. After lounging in pajamas all day Saturday, we pulled ourselves out of our candy coma and finished up our homemade Harry Potter graveyard. Nerdy, perhaps, but totally necessary.

Fall Favorites

So during the boy’s nap on Saturday, I may have spent quite a bit of time browsing around on the internet and decided that a Fall Favorites roundup was an absolute must.

1. The perfect sweater.

I wore this turtleneck to the pumpkin patch on Friday, and it was seriously the most comfortable and light-weight sweater I think I have worn. It has easily become my favorite long sleeve top.

2. The most amazing chili recipe.

I’m used to making the chili recipe from the Whole30 cookbook, but a few weeks ago I found the most incredibly crock pot chili recipe on Pinterest, and it will forever be our go to. Plus it still tastes great reheated when you just don’t feel like making dinner.

3. A tasty pumpkin spice treat.

This Pumpkin Spice White Hot Chocolate recipe that Katey McFarlan from Chronicles of Frivolity shared over on her blog.

4. Shoes that give back.

The only rain boots you will ever need: Roma Boots. Created and headquartered in Dallas, the founder wanted to create a product with a bigger purpose. For every pair sold, Roma donates a pair filled with educational supplies to a child living in poverty. And if you use code AMBERLATELY at checkout, you can get 25% off your purchase.

And finally, who is watching This Is Us and Designated Survivor?? Fall television is seriously the best!
