The health bug has officially taken over the Hill household this week. JD and I have started working out (I’m seriously so sore), and have decided to get our eating back on track. We have a trip to Alabama at the end of the month to visit my family, but I think we are planning on starting our second round of Whole30 when we get back.

If you’re new to the blog, you can catch our experience on our first round of Whole30 here. Trust me – you’ll be entertained.

Anyways, this all started, because let’s face it, summer is around the corner and I can only get away with wearing pants and oversized sweaters for so long. I also want to start feeling GOOD about myself when someone snaps a picture or I happen to put on a bikini outside of swim class. When you look good, you feel good – which means things have to change. So we bought some new workout kit this last weekend, and hit the figurative weights.

We’ve started jogging and doing sprints, along with some P90X workouts. Oh, and don’t forget my Jillian Michaels DVDs…gosh I love those. My favorite form of exercise though would definitely have to be our evening walks. I mean, seriously.

Potty training is still going great, and we are officially diaper free all day and for naps. Noah is peeing and pooping in the potty like a champ, now we just need to work on tossing our night-time diapers. Last night on our walk, Noah just took off running for the house without saying a word. I had him go pee before we left, but we had been gone for about an hour. When I saw him turn into the driveway, it clicked that he needed to potty, so I took off running. Sure enough, the kid needed to pee. #proudparentmoment

I always love when people share with me what their current favorite things are, so here are some of our favorites lately…

Some of my new favorite workout gear: Nike ‘Tomboy’ Graphic Tee, Nike ‘Crew’ Dri-Fit Shorts, and these INCREDIBLE Nike ‘Gym Vintage’ Capris that I could seriously live in every day of my life.

Noah is now all about pooping on the potty ever since we bought ‘There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly!‘ He loves to sit there and have me read to him.

While Noah has a new favorite board book, I personally have become obsessed with ‘Five Presidents‘ which is Clint Hill’s new book. I love anything that gives me a behind the scenes look in to fascinating people’s lives that I wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to do. Clint Hill served in the Secret Service next to five standing presidents for almost two decades. Talk about juicy!

I made these insanely tasty Sweet Corn and Black Bean Tacos by COOKIE + kate earlier this week for our taco bar night, and these were a huge hit. I didn’t add the jalapeños to the corn salsa so that the kids could eat it, but I did dice some up to top our tacos with.

THIS end table for the reading nook in our bedroom.

We don’t have a crazy big weekend ahead of us, just swim class, a birthday party, and church on Sunday, so hopefully we can get some sort of rest in. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! XO
