I am obsessed with finding cute, authentic, one-of-a-kind apparel for my kiddos. My children are unique, so why shouldn’t their clothes be just as extraordinary? So imagine my excitement when my path crossed with the Austin based business, Little & Mighty.

Little & Mighty is a children’s apparel shop; built on the belief that all littles are mighty in many ways. Founded by three moms with a simple goal in mind: to celebrate childhood.

Not only are all of the designs created and drawn in-house, they are also all screen printed locally in Austin, TX.

Get to know the incredibly sweet and witty trio behind Little & Mighty:

Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you feel called to do:
I’m a stay at home momma of three awesome little girls. I’m married to a candid lover of a good challenge in the outdoors. I really enjoy hanging out with my people, spending time outside, reading, watching my girls wonder at new experiences, and chocolate. For me, Little & Mighty is a chance to stir some creative juices and put something out there that inspires little ones to go exploring. I’ve been really excited to get to work with two wonderful ladies to help bring that vision about and create a shop full of apparel that really speaks to the wonder of childhood.

What do you love most about running your own business?:
That’s a hard one – I can’t decide between “having to” work with two ladies that are the bomb, or the flexible hours so I don’t miss out on everything from 9-5, or getting to steer our own ship. I think the bomb wins … it is a great reason to “have to” see/talk to them more often than I was able to before we opened Little & Mighty.

What is the single best piece of advice you have been given about starting and running your own business?:
Believe you will succeed and you will.

What do you want to be remembered for?:
I want people to remember me as a genuine person who showed her love in many ways and always worked to make the world a little less harsh and a little more inclusive.

Favorite food:
Chocolate! And lasagna. But chocolate!

Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you feel called to do:
I’m a mom to a spunky little girl and am married to a very loving British bloke who is a hardcore Liverpool fan (soccer!). I love spending time with my family and try to make every chance I get with them about them, about us no other distractions, it’s family time! With trying to balance work and family the best I can with so much always going on, I strive to make the moments I have with my loved ones really count. I absolutely love being a mom and watching my little one hit so many different milestones. Becoming a mother has been the most amazing and eye-opening experience ever!

What do you love most about running your own business?:
Man, there’s for sure more than one! I love being able to work with two very smart and funny women! I love our meetings that we have, face to face or on the phone we are super productive, but it’s not boring or mundane – it’s lively and creative. We value and respect each other and it shows in how we work with each other and how we come together to run our business. I also love that well, it’s OURS! Ours to grow, ours to make different, to make better – it’s ours. We want our products to be kid friendly and parent adored and we’ve taken the time to make our apparel just that, because we’ve taken the time to consider what other parents are looking for the little ones too.

What is the single best piece of advice you have been given about starting and running your own business?:
Don’t give up, even if that’s what you think is best, just keep at it and you will succeed.

What do you want to be remembered for?:
For being a good-hearted person who always wanted the best for everyone around her, for being authentically present (a compliment a friend gave me one time), and for how I love my people.

Favorite food:
Dark chocolate coconut milk ice cream with strawberries! And okra cooked up Indian style and spicy.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you feel called to do:
I am a mama to two little boys who most definitely keep me busy. They are firstly hilarious, always rearing to go adventuring (as they say) and when they do slow down they love to be wrapped up in hugs and kisses. I am a wife to a wonderful husband whose support and belief in me has no end. I spend most of my days juggling motherhood, being a wife, working full-time for a marketing company, owning and running my own business, while trying to soak in the moments as I know too well that time passes by so quickly. I feel the most called to create. I love figuring out a new recipe, redecorating a room, coming up with a new product line or marketing strategy, as well as creating my own business. The process of creating fills me and fuels my hunger for more.

What do you love most about running your own business?:
I like the freedom to create and steer the ship. I like to choose the direction. One of my most favorite things is connecting with other creative women, whether it be other shop owners or bloggers. I have met some incredibly inspiring and interesting women on this journey and can’t wait to meet more.

What is the single best piece of advice you have been given about starting and running your own business?:
Believe you will succeed. I haven’t ever considered the fact that Little & Mighty could be a total failure, because everyday we are working to make sure that never comes.

What do you want to be remembered for?:
Creating. Creating support for other moms, creating a spark of adventurous spirit in kids, creating a beautiful family with my husband.

Favorite food:
Pizza and a cold beer
